I just got a new (old) lens for my DSLR off ebay. It’s a 10 or 15 year old Minolta 50mm prime 1.7. What those crazy numbers mean is you can’t zoom with it at all (it’s fixed at 50mm), but it’s great in low light. It’s also producing much sharper pictures than my “kit” lens ever could. So far, I like!
